With Siddhartha Singh, Swapnil Ghiware and Rajesh Ananth - we hiked down to the Phantom ranch at the bottom of the Grand Canyon via South Kaibab Trail.
Hiked around for a day and came back up to South Rim via Bright Angel Trail.

While going down, it got steamy hot (felt like 124 F) at the base and while coming back it poured on us like anything.

While the views from the rim are breathtaking, it's a completely different world when we were at the bottom of the canyon.
Awesome cantina at the Phantom ranch, beautiful views of the canyon and the river and amazing night sky viewing opportunity presents itself.

We were greeted with the most beautiful sunset after our hike back to the rim.

We "almost" missed our flights (in & out of Las Vegas) by 10 minutes .... so, overall an adventurous trip.

On our way back we talked about coming back here and doing a Rim to Rim (North to South) in a few years.
